Pavilion offers hope, but shelter still struggles with limited resources

The small, simple and stark white laundry room in the Old Brewery Mission's permanent housing wing is a "symbolic place," according to Georges Ohana. "It represents the change in these men's lives," he said. On the communal floor of the Mission, the laundry room is the place where formerly homeless men who live at the residence can cleanse themselves and their stained clothes from the past.
